General NY Kids Club Policies

  • Children may participate in all programs barefoot, however, adults must wear socks. Socks can be purchased at the front desk for $1.
  • Infant siblings may be brought to adult participation classes in a bjorn or a snuggly. Older siblings who are not in a bjorn or snuggly  will not be allowed into class.
  • NY Kids Club will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • All strollers should be stowed in the stroller parking area in the lobby.
  • No food, drinks, or gum in the gym or classrooms.
  • We are a NUT FREE facility. Please refrain from bringing snacks or consuming foods containing nuts while on premises.
  • Please do not bring your child to the New York Kids Club if they are showing any signs of illness including a runny nose, cough or  fever. We will gladly arrange for a make up class. The New York Kids Club reserves the right to deny a sick child participation in classes  or open play sessions.
  • Children enrolled in independent participation classes or preschool must be picked up promptly. If the adult picking is more than 15  minutes late and it is not the first occurrence, the NY Kids Club or NY Preschool will charge a $25 late pick up fee. Should late  pick up continue to occur, additional charges will be made at management discretion.

Refund Policies

Fall/Spring Classes

Students are entitled to a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee and the cost of classes that have taken place, prior to the end of the third week of the semester. Should you choose to take a NYKC credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No refunds or credits will be given after the third week of the semester. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the details of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation.

Fall/Spring Mini-Semester Classes

Students are entitled to a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee and the cost of classes that have taken place, prior to the end of the first week of the semester. Should you choose to take a NY Kids Club credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No refunds or credits will be given after the first week of the semester. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the details of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation.

Summer Classes

NY Preschool 2018-2019: Preschool Prep, 2s, 3s, and 4s

NY Preschool tuition is due either (a) in full, or (b) in three installments*. The first installment is due prior to February 5th, 2018 for the forthcoming school year. The second installment is due on February 5th, 2018, and the third is due on May 5th, 2018. A late payment charge of 2% of any overdue balance will be assessed on an account that is 30 days or more in arrears. A 3% convenience fee is added to all payment plans.  All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs or families.

Select Locations offer a monthly payment plan.  Please inquire with your home location about the type of payment plan offered.

Full Year Programs: Full year programs can be either paid in full or in monthly installments. When paying in installments, 1/3 tuition is due at the time of registration. The remaining monthly installments will be charged on the 30th of each month beginning September 30, 2017 and ending May 30, 2018. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs or families.

Fall Only Programs: Semester-based programs can be either paid in full or in monthly installments. When paying in installments, first month’s payment is due at the time of registration. The remaining monthly installments will be charged on the 30th of the month through December 30, 2017. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs or families.

Winter/Spring Only Programs: Semester-based programs can be either paid in full or in monthly installments. When paying in installments, first month’s payment is due at the time of registration. The remaining monthly installments will be charged on the 30th of the month through May 30, 2018. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs or families.

 

Afternoon Club 2017-2018

Afternoon Club may be paid in full, or via monthly installments. If choosing to pay in installments, first and last month’s payment is due at the time of registration and serves as a non-refundable deposit. The remaining monthly payments will be charged on the 30th of each month. All Afternoon Club monthly payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to other programs or families. Any changes in account information or termination of recurring payment authorization must be submitted in writing at least 30 days prior to the next billing date.

Families choosing to pay in full will receive a 3% discount on their tuition. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the name of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation. Families are eligible for refunds sans the pro-rated cost of any classes attended and a $100 cancelation fee per day of program registration.

Summer Camp

Students are entitled to a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee per each week of camp being cancelled, up to 30 days prior to the week(s) being cancelled. Should you choose to take a NYKC credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No credits or refunds will be processed past this point. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the details of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation.

Holiday Camp, Spring Break Camp, and School Break Camp

Students are entitled to a full refund, less a $35 cancellation fee per day, up to 30 days prior to the day(s) being cancelled. Should you choose to take a NYKC credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No credits or refunds will be processed past this point. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the details of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation.

Gymnastics Camp Intensive

Students are entitled to a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee per each week of camp being cancelled, up to two weeks prior to the week(s) being cancelled. Should you choose to take a NYKC credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No credits or refunds will be processed past this point. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child’s name, the adult’s name, the details of the program being cancelled, and the reason for the cancellation.

Camp Early Drop Off

Camp Early Drop Off is non-refundable. You may switch to early drop off on another day/time; the switch must be done by 4pm the day prior to your scheduled early drop off day. You may also take a NYKC credit.

Birthday Parties

Birthday party deposits are non-refundable nor transferable to other programs or families. The balance of a party cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the start of the party is also nonrefundable nor transferable to other programs or families. Partial refunds for guest list changes will not be given once the party balance is charged.

Play Packs

Play Passes (10/20/30 pack) are non-refundable. They are valid for one year from purchase date and may be transferred to or used for friends and/or family.

Events

Event registration for Pajama Parties, Weekend Camp, Seasonal Events, and Parenting Workshops is non-refundable. You may switch to an event on another day/time or to a different type of event. You may also take a NYKC credit.

Summer Drop-Ins and Summer Afternoon Club

Summer Drop-in classes and Summer Afternoon Club are non-refundable. You may switch to a drop-in class/afternoon club session on another day/time. You may also take a NYKC credit.

Trial Classes

Trial classes are non-refundable. You may switch to a trial class on another day/time; the switch must be done by 8am on the day of the trial class. You may also take a NYKC credit.

Store Credit

NY Kids Club store credit is non-refundable, unless the refund period for the program from which you un-enrolled has not yet ended. In this case a refund will be given based on the restrictions of the refund policy for the program. All store credit will expire 2 years or less from the issued date.

Make-up Policies

Fall/Spring Classes

We allow 4 make-up classes per session. Make-up classes must be scheduled in advance online or with the front desk for any age-appropriate class and are limited to the current session. No make-ups are allowed during the first week of the session for all classes. No make-ups are allowed during the last week (two weeks in some cases) of the session for all independent participation classes.

Fall/Spring Mini-Semester Classes

No make-ups are allowed during the first week of the session for all classes. Students can make up all missed summer classes. Make-up classes must be scheduled in advance online or with the front desk, are based on availability, and are limited to the current session. No make-ups will be allowed during the first week of the session.

Afternoon Club

We allow two make-up Afternoon Club days per session regardless of the amount of registered days in the program. Make-up classes must be scheduled in advance online or with the front desk and are limited to the current session. No make-ups are allowed during the first or last week of the session.

NY Preschool: Pre-2s, 2s, 3s, and 4s

There are no make-ups allotted for Pre-2s, 2s, 3s, and 4s preschool programs.

Summer, Holiday, Spring Break, and School Break Camps

Make-ups for camp may be available based on space availability. In order to be eligible for a camp make-up you MUST cancel your scheduled camp day no later than 8:00am on the day of the session. Should you choose not to attend your scheduled camp day and fail to call us by 8am, you will forfeit the payment for your camp day and a make-up will not be given.

Cancellation Policies

Open Play

All Open Play cancellations must be done at least one hour prior to the booked session. Should you choose to not attend a reserved open play session and fail to cancel the reservation at least one hour prior to the session, you will forfeit the play pass for that session.

Pajama Parties, Family Fun Events, Seasonal Events and Parenting Workshops

All Pajama Parties, Family Fun Events, Seasonal Events and Parenting Workshop cancellations must be done no later than 10am on the day of the event. Should you choose to not attend a scheduled event and fail to cancel your reservation in proper time, you will forfeit your payment for that event.

Weekend Camp

All Weekend Camp cancellations must be done no later than 8am on the day of the scheduled session. Should you choose to not attend a scheduled weekend camp session and fail to cancel your reservation in proper time, you will forfeit your payment for that camp session.

Make-up Classes

All make-up class cancellations must be done no later than 8am on the day of the scheduled make-up. Should you choose not to attend your scheduled make-up class, and fail to cancel your reservation in proper time, you will forfeit that make-up class.

Trial Classes

All trial class cancellations must be done no later than 8am on the day of the scheduled trial. Should you choose not to attend your scheduled trial class, and fail to cancel your reservation in proper time, you will forfeit any payment associated with that trial class.

Summer Drop-In Classes

All Drop-In class cancellations must be done no later than 10am on the day of the scheduled class. Should you choose to not attend a scheduled class and fail to cancel your reservation in proper time, you will forfeit your payment for that class.

Early Drop Off

All Early Drop Off cancellations must be done no later than 4pm the day prior to your scheduled Early Drop Off day. Should you choose not to attend a scheduled Early Drop Off session, and fail to cancel your reservation in proper time, you will forfeit your payment for that session.

Summer Class Packs

Drop-in’s are subject to availability. Class cancelations must occur with 24-hour notice or you will forfeit your pass. Summer Class Packs are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Other Policies

Credit Card Switch

All requests to change a payment from one credit card to another will incur a 2% administrative fee.

Location Switch

Families may switch their program enrollment to another NY Kids Club/New York Preschool location pending availability. There is no additional charge or refund given to switch into a new program that is the same length of time, even if the cost of the program at the new location is higher. All other considerations are in accordance with our standard refund policies and procedures.

Privacy Policy

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site or place an order. When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider’s database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.
